Aims and Scope
The Tanzania Journal of Sociology is a yearly publication that seek to address sociological issues from a multi-disciplinary perspective. It aims to generate scholarly reflections in the field of sociology and anthropology and related fields of social sciences. The journal encourages manuscripts informed by up-to-date empirical studies focusing on local and global concerns. Our goal is to create platform for scholars, practitioners and policy makers, from Tanzania and international research community, to explore the critical yet creative aspects for scholarly discussion and knowledge sharing. The journal publishes articles, book reviews, conference papers, critical comments, research reports, and other genres of academic writing. The journal is published in June every year by the Department of Sociology and Anthropology, University of Dar es Salaam. From 2015 to 2017 the Tanzania journal of sociology was published in print form only. However, since 2018, the journal is published in both print and online forms with the ISSN 1821-9632 and E-ISSN 2591-6963 respectively.
